Do oscars get more vibrant colors as they get bigger? ..because right now i have had my oscars on the hikari gold diet for about 3 months now and there colors havnt really changed much.

IME, the colors get much better.
How big are yours? After about 10", there colors aren't really going to change.
Hikari bio-gold turned my oscars from orange to red. (I used to use regular cichlid gold), also give them some earthworms. These foods should really bring out there colors/pattern. Really anything with a high amount of carotines will bring out the red in a fish.

They might get a little better, but I think they'll have a nice golden color, no reds.

Feeders are not good for your oscars color or there health. Don't give them any unless they're quarantined and loaded up with high quality foods.

I quit feeding them goldfish like a month and a half to two months ago due to gill flukes and havnt fed them goldfish since.. now all they eat is the hikari gold and earthworms/mealworms. and the occasional frozen bloodworms and krill as a treat!
