Cichlids eye is bleeding?!?!

Fish rarely bump onto things enough to suffer damage, unless spooked, or chased really hard by other fish, or somebody trying to net them. And on both eyes? Unlikely as physical injury. And without tankmates? Even less likely. Something else going on is my guess.

What else could be going on then? I suppose he might have been spooked by one of my parents walking past the tank. I just noticed both his eyes appeared to have irregular dark red patterns that looked like blood. So far he is acting normal, eating well, etc. So I hope he'll be ok.
