Hi guys,

Have random pieces of equipment lying around including a filter than can handle up to 120l tank (31 US gal)

As such would like to breed a few cichlids.

Realise these cant be huge (obviously) but dont want to breed dwarf species (they just aren'y my favourite!)

Have kept various cichlids over the years (kribs, firemouths etc) and would like to try something a bit different.

Any ideas? Tank would be dedicated to new occupants only.

Any help would be great!

Any of the vieja species for example?

Am partic interested in CA/SA species.....Salvinis?

Realise is only a small tank so dont kill me here I have been keeping fish for a long while now!

if you want to breed fish i would suggest a group of smaller cyptoheros species such as nanoleutus , honduran red points or myrnae
there are many dwarf species as well most common would be the ram species and are relatively easy to breed

Convicts are very run of the mill and very easy to breed, but yet VERY interesting. A pair of blood parrots may fit into a 30 gallon...

dont think he was looking for run of the mill fish

Buffaloheads (Steatocranus casuarius) are a very intresting species that will be able to live in that size tank their whole lives.
