i was wondering why cichlids grow faster n color faster n fish ponds. i added some peacocks that didnt have no color at all n my fish pond around a month ago and now one is super blue with yellow on the botom of its body and behind its head. and they seam to have grown purty good

I have noticed a increase in growth rate also. I assume it because of the increased swimming area .I would think that the increased space would allow smaller fish to feel safe enough to color up quicker too. I also heard natural sunlight brings out the colors not sure if thats true though.
