[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica] i have like, juvenile cichlids.. i fed them with African Cichlid -ATTACK! (that's what it says in the label)

i got one more question..

i have 8 small cichlids in my 38G tank, (my friend will give me his 75G tank before fall)the smallest of the 8 cichlids always got bullied by others.. it's been 2 nighst now, that i haven't seen him/her eating the food that i gave them, he's just hiding.. everytime he tries to grab food, he got bullied, he/she ended up swam away and hide..

what do you think i should do with that little guy? should i put more cichlids so that they will not be more aggressive? or should i put more rocks? for him to hide? but he's/she's not eating at all because, of the others..

please, help me out.. thanks!

First you need to identify the cichlids to make sure they can coexist in the same tank. Even though you are overstocking to decrease aggression, some cichlids just wont work.

Is the little guy being bullied by all others or just one? If it is only one fish doing the bulling, try to remove him for awhile to let the little one to settle in. Add more food, but add more WC's if you do that.

I agree with the above comments, if its one fish in particular doing the bullying I would remove that one fish and see if it helps.

In the meantime though it would help if you could post some pics so we can help identify these guys for you.

i had that problem with my jewel cichlid who is smaller than the rest of his tank mates
at first i just fed them with both hands dropping the food at the same time he was able to get the ones that fell past the others now he is the quick one. and gets the most. just allow the pecking order to come together and ensure enough hiding places.

i had that problem at fish with some of mine. if i think they aren't eating for fear of being bullied, i not only feed them when i turn the lights on, but also at when when i shut the lights off, with sinking pellets, like the Attack! ones. They aren't as afraid to zip out, and sometimes the other fish are too tired to bother. If you're really that worried you could try that

ya, big tank will help ive got 9 in a 92gal. i first started with a 55gal with 3 africans. zebra, a bumbbee, and alhi. the male zebra was a bastard there wasnt much cover and he would torment the other 2 once I changed to a bigger corner tank they all get along fine i have mixed south american with africans

I guess you should give them more space.
