as the title say are cichlids of any sort suitable in a 50gal 5ft tall hex?
and its got a good pump

well I'm not really looking for anything big or teerritorial anyway:)

you could have a pair of smaller cichlids, such as convicts, or kribensis. I've kept hex tanks for many years and with the right decorations you can keep many different kinds of fish- research who is a bottom dweller, mid swimmer, and top swimmer.

I wouldn't waste that tank on Convicts. Try some Urau, Angelfish, Severums or Discus depending on your preference.

Its too verticle...5 ft tall? Geez..thats gotta have what...a 2' x 2' base? If that? Wow....trade it in for another tank that isn't so verticle, much more options then...:D
