After running down the financials (and responsibilities), I'm going to be holding off on the turning the 150 into a Discus tank. I still want it to be a low tech planted tank (really wanting to do the moss wall :D), but now I'm looking for cichlids that I would be able to keep in a planted tank with Anubias, Java Fern, anchored Riccia, Moss Balls, and assorted Mosses in the wall and anchored to driftwood.
The tankmates are listed in my signature, and all are hardy fish.
I've kept JD's recently so we can knock them off the list, and not really thinking about doing angels (thai blues are the only ones I really like the look of right now), other than that I'm open to suggestions.

I got held up at work yesterday, so I'm hoping to start the tank re-seal this afternoon.

Cool. With the plants I've listed, will a Severum make the list (Java Fern, Anubias, Swords, Moss). I know they like plants, but I wasn't sure if the ones listed would deter them.

Although you can't see them here, there are about 10 Gymnogeophagus rio yerbalito in the tank. And it does not require a heater.

I bought a piece of drift wood with Java moss on it and my rotkeil had a field day picking it clean.

Severum are like aquatic goats. Any of the Mesonauta Sp. (Festivus) will work and make a nice display in a planted tank.
