I wanted to see what species people have had success with keeping multiple con-specifics together.

For example the most obvious I can think of are Geo's and Discus. I have heard Festivum, and Sevs will work too. Multispinosa are something I'm having success with as a group currently.
I know there are the outlying ones. such as the lucky folks who can keep 8 big male midas, or a big group of all vieja. But I see people keep EBJD's what about mixing EBJDS with JD's.

Are there other species I'm not thinking of. Rams, Kribs? Just was curious about trying something different.

Looking forward to learning a few things here.

Uarus work good in group from what i have seen but i have no personal experience. A group of panda uarus would look nice.
And they will go good with severums

IME the South American species like Discus, Angelfish, Festavum, Uaru, some Severum are eaiser than others, Geos like the Tapajos work well some Geo species are very aggressive with conspescifics. some arrressive Central American cichlids like the Amps can be kept in groups if you get a group of the same sex and/or crowd them so much they can't clame a terratory like a large holding tank. Most cichlids they haven't naturally evolved to living in groups are better off given the space thay require to be truly happy and unstressed.

Thorichthys do very well in groups. In fact meeki and 'pasionis' are even found together in their natural habitat in fairly large population densities. They make do with relatively small territories and don't do any real damage to one another - lots of "bluff and bluster".
