What kinda cichlid should i breed, that is pretty easy and can get pretty good money for it.

Hi jag,

What size tank do you have? Filtration? Experience?

One thing to keep in mind...if there was a Cichlid that was easy to breed and yet make money from the fry, everyone would be doing it. Then no one would be buying that particular species/breed/hybrid. It will be tough to actually make any money without a pretty big effort on your part.

Having said all that, Labs breed pretty readily and you might get $1 to $2 a piece once they grow out.

If you're in it for a few bucks, you may want to look at breeding Plecos. Again, you won't make a lot of money without a lot of effort (and tanks lol)...but the Plecos seem to go for a few dollars more over all.

Good luck to you!

You could try convicts im not sureyou get alot of money for them but i know that they breed fast and produce lots of babies im not sure

You could try shellies

I bred salvinis last year. They had about 120 babies, with >95% survival rate, and they sell for $2 each to the store. If you want something more lucrative than that, I say go with some fancy apistogrammas. They are a bit more difficult, but wholesale price is like $18 for some, like hongsloi. Retail is like $30-40.
