My 55g tank is running great and I have 13 Fish in it. It was up for 6mnths and has african and central american cichlids even a silver dollar. Most of the fish are 5inches long. I have plenty of places for them to hid and do lots of water changes. Is this ok??? I know pp say stress but for the most part they are great. Little battles here and there nothing major. Plz comment!!!!!!!!!

My other 55g comm tank has 2 goldfish, 3 cory, 2 frogs. should i add driftwood?? or will it mess up the ph??

will the fish stay small if they are over crowded???

Yeah. It's called growth stunting, and is generally considered to be a form of torture. Sounds like your main 55g is pretty overstocked.

What is your stock list specifically?

Stunting their growth is not the same as a "fish growing to its container" as so many people have been told (when they were 2 years old.)

It's a terrible existance. How would you like to be locked in a very small room where you have to poop and pee and there are other people also in this room, who are also pooping and peeing. You would stop growing too!
