Anybody had this happen before? I skipped feeding my 12 inch pbass for like 4 days then i bought a bunch of feeders (cuz thats all he eats) and threw them in there. He ate 6 4 inch goldfish in like 2 minutes and i didnt think anything of it. Then in the morning i woke up and the water was all fouled up and the goldfish were all floating and half digested.Sick!! Did anyone experience this before? Will it be ok? This happened to my tsn when i did a large water change but it recovered fast. thanks in advance.

Fish will regurgitate when overfed. Mine have done this on a few occasions. Also performing a water change soon after they are fed could trigger enough stress to make them regurgitate. If you haven't already done so you should do a water change in the tank.

even when ya buy a pbass or anyfish that eats alot food, usually they will throw it up in the bag....Nothing uncommon...

thanks for the replies guys. That was pretty odd tho. But today i walked by the tank and he came up to me begging for food so i guess hes okay now ;) And im about to do a water change before i feed him again. thanks again.

that is the cause of many cichla deaths or even a whole tank of fish. you should never let your fish gorge themselves out. Cichla are greedy fish and will stuff themselves and puke out the meal later.

Feed moderately spread out through a few days.
