Hey everyone,

I am in the process of settign up my new 180. Last night I filled it and am currently running an old biowheel 350 HOB filter to clean out some of the floating residue from my substrate (didn't wash it as well as I should have).

As of this morning, I have ordered my FX5 :headbang2 and two 300W heaters. I am contemplating ordering a circulating pump (or wave-maker I guess?) to aid in the water flow. This tank will eventually be home to a jardini and possibly another large fish or two. I've read that the circulating pumps are good for the fish, and some of them enjoy swimming into the current.

I guess my questions are:
1. Should I be looking at these pumps (specifically THIS ONE )

2. And if so, how many GPH is recommended for my 6'x2'x2' tank?

Thanks for any advice!

I've heard good things about Koralias. I think the current in the tank is mostly determined by the stock. I'm not sure if Jardinis like high flow or not but from a quick google it says they live in the still waters of streams (low flow). In my 180g I keep Viejas and some clown loaches and I run 2 MaxiJet1200s (the old ones) as well as an XP3, and 2 AC110s, plus some sponge filters (they move a bit of water too). So all in all I think I have something like 1800-2000GPH in the tank, and I'm pretty sure they could handle a lot more.

My 180 has 2xKoralia Evolution 1400gph, I chose these cause they are smaller than the next size up so it takes up less tank space.
The filtration on my 180g is 2x FX5s and a Pro-Clear200 with Mag9.5 return pump

I have a large aro along with 20 SDs I find that the fish are more active, seem to dislike the powerheads.
