will be plumbing Fx5 in my 75g soon and have only 1 shot to get it right...i really need your opinions and advice..it will be a rift lake tank

black with blue is inlet to back of background

green is behind background inlet to pump

red are returns with yellow direction of flow

was originally just going to us straight fitting flush with surface for outlet but starting to think it will have to be adjustable to change direction

The background looks good. Any photo's of the actual plmbing behind/in it?
What, if any, gravel or sand will be on the bottom ?

sand substrate..i dont have anything plumbed yet.. plan is to split output from fx5 to 2 ball valves before it goes in to tank..(outlets in red) return will be factory...i have to drill / cut background to add plumbing...i dont wanna go DOOH!

You might consider a single center top mounted DIY spraybar return integrated with the background. THis would promote excellent surface agitation and with careful layout of the orifces you should be able to get thorough circulation. As for the suctions I like te idea of one in each lower rear corner. Keep in mind the potential for the sand to get sucked in. All of the above would be relatively simple to plumb and require minimal modification to your beautiful background.
Just one opinion, hope it helps.

spray bar was my first choice but really hard to hide...return and input locations are influenced by features in background..any advice on how to hide a spray bar would be appreciated...but short of making 1 by drilling row of 3/16 holes in top of background inserting tubes then teeing them into a main bar behind background im at a loss...and i probably didnt describe that well ill try and get a scetch later...but i dont know if this would work

can i mount a spray bar (16 inch or so ) at the end? ive never seen one shooting end to end , normally back to front , would it be enough return?

ok after doing some more research iv decided to mount spray bar on upper right side...i should have look more before asking...thanks dawnmarie...ill post a thread on the whole build when its finished...MFK forum members are awesome...your knowledge and experience has helped me beyond belief..
