I have a 100 gal with a ac110 and 2 air pumps would adding a water circulation fan help with water current and circulation for my ray and sa/ca cichlids? Or do I even need that?

Yeah, it could help but I would say add another AC110, one seems a little under filtered, especially for rays. Water circulation is a good thing and might help get junk off the substrate, but more filtration is always better and for the same money. A decent sized powerhead, one worth owning, is going to set you back $60 or more for one to put in a 100g. Look at Hydor Koralia prop pumps and you will see what I mean. A cheap MaxiJet or Rio will move water, but a Hydor Koralia will move twice as much and use half the electricity. Naw, add filtration, You'll be glad you did.

I have Koralia pumps and a couple other cheaper brands in my tank. The Koralia pumps are MUCH better than anything else I've used. You'll pay much more for them, but imo they're worth it.

I know AC110 is a great little filter! I like my equipment to pull double duty. When I used the standard power heads I would put filter foam over the inlet so they would pull duty as water polishers, I also did that with my HOBs. An added filter would increase circulation and also provide for more filtration, i.e. mechanical, or even chemical. Put a bag of Purigen in an AC50 or AC70. and now you have a chemical filter/water circulator.

I use an 950 gph aqueon circulator, its awesome, I point it straight at the top and I mount it on the side about 6" below the water line.

I have Seio, Tunze, and Koralia circulating pumps. The Seio is weak and bulky compared to the others. The Tunze are the most compact, but they are noisy when they start (only a problem when used with a wavemaker), The Koralia have not lasted as long as the Tunze or the Seio, but they worked well for a couple years.

I've been curious about these, I'll have to try one.
