You can always play it safe be using them sparingly as an addition to your feeding regimen. No need to avoid them completely, just as an occasional meal. I have a few thousand Rosy Reds (loaded with Thiaminase) in my freezer, and continue to feed them occasionally to various predatory fish, reptiles and even birds. I just make sure that they make up only a very small percentage of the diets of those critters. I give a lot away to some locals as well; one of my neighbours uses them as a treat for his chickens!
