the xilo laid eggs yesterday with this midas yesterday , at least there both amphilophus , there in there with another midas and a motaguense, all these fish are about 6 inches. i also threw in a photo of my umbee that's about 8 inches ,im sure she's a female, but she's nice looking ,she's been solo since i got her and she's from rapps also. i will make a umbriferus thread later, i have 3 umbee's 1 male and 2 female :)

Congrats on the spawn. How big are they now?

No not congrats. I hope you let all the tank mates eat the fry. Don't go crossbreeding amphilophus we got enough of that going on already! Nice looking fish though. I like the mota and umbie best

Nice fish and good luck with the spawn. The umbee looks like a male to me, hes got long trailers, no dark in the dorsal, and plenty of speckling. Get some more pics up of him and your other umbees.

I dont see why a congrats arent in order, he provided the fish with proper conditions and the fish spawned. I do agree with you that this can be bad for the hobby, as many individuals go and sell these to a LFS, where they are often mislabeled. But who said he was going to do this? As long as this guy is responsible with them, I give him credit.
