I just got a CK maybe 5" in length. I have a 55 its in, but all it seems to do is lay on the bottom of the tank. is that normal?

Does it get up to eat?
I know that my bgk "sleeps" in the strangest positions, normal, on his back, vertical head up and head down. I've never seen him lying on his side, but his favorite hole seems too narrow (although he manages to turn around inside it).

How is his chosen hiding place? I wouldn't worry unless he doesn't come out for food or sleeps in a curled position (even then, I don't really know). The eating is the main worry.

he hasnt eaten, he is new to the tank. it also doent get in any of the hiding spots witch i thought was odd. he now just leans aginst objects to sleep.

They are very timid by nature. I have had mine for a little over 2 weeks and he just now comes out from his hiding spot, other than to eat.

MIne lays down on his side when his hidding in his little crawl space.

It'll take a bit of time for it to adjust. But after that, it'll just hide most of the time.
