I have had a 4 inch CK for a couple months. At first he was in a 90g now in a 150g. There are no signs of stress and he ventures out and about in the tank with no problems all the time.

The problem is that all of the other fish eat pellets, and he even comes out to look at the pellets but he wont touch them. I am afraid if he is picky for much longer it may stunt his growth or starve. The only thing he will eat (and he tears them up) is live black worms. I try to treat the tank to them a couple times a week but I dont have enough to make it his main diet. He also doesnt really eat unless it moves which makes me think his eye sight isnt great.

Any tips on getting him on pellets?

I think just keep pressing on with pellets. I did that with mine and now he eats Hikari and NLS with no problem. It only took a few days to get him used to the pellets.

How long has it been since you've been pellet training? For a small CK, it can take a couple of weeks of starving. If you keep giving in and giving it live worms every so often, it won't take pellets as it'll just wait for live food. If you have other fish on pellets and it's starting to just look at it (like yours is doing), it's a start. Just don't give in. It'll start eating pellets as long as it sees other fish eating it.

He has literally grown 0 in the couple months I have had him. I only give in maybe 1 time a week with black worms.

If you want him to grow, feed him everyday, but for now, don't feed it any worms until you see it eating pellets. Even then, I would skip the worms for at least a month to make sure it knows that the pellets will be it's main source of food.

ok, thanks.
