I just picked up a CK about a week ago. He is eating everything in sight. Although he is losing his color. I don't mean fading, I mean his body look disoriented in color. Is this normal? When I bought him, it was very little. Now its alot!!!!

BTW what is the normal price range on a 6-7 in CK?

Post up some pics. If it was small with stripes, it eventually turn into spots, but it doesn't fade completely and then turn into spots.

thats different.. looking forward to seeing him... good that he is eating good...

we need some pix, though....

Ill try to get picks soon. To describe it better, it seems like a discoloration. He was a dark sliver with black circles. Now he is losing the dark sliver and turning a light sliver. Looks like when people get burns on there skin and the scar is a different shade when it heals.

could he have burned himself on the heater??

Sometimes CKs will either lighten or darken depending on it's environment.

if he was in a dark type tank and then moved to a light based tank ..alot of times they get lighter in color. usually trying to adapt to its new surroundings
