ck with bgk

hey i currently have a ck and a lime shovelnose in a 4x2x2 growout and both are currently around 5-6 inches my question is could i add a bgk i am aware that the ck will need a larger tank. also once the bgk has grown abit could i add it to my 72"x18"x18" tank with my 3 oscars giraffe cat and my ornate?

Shouldn't be too much of a problem as long as you have multiple hiding spots for both Knives. I had this combo before, but not long term because I wanted to move the BGK into the bigger tank. They were probably together for maybe a month with no issue. Your future BGK tankmates should be fine. You might have to watch how the Oscars will react to the BGK as I know Cichlid personality can vary.

the oscars are very laid back reason they are in the tank is because they were being bullied.

they will be fine but the bgk will defend its little hiding spot i woke uo with my bgk litterally snapping at my sun catfish... i could hear it in my room lol

cool will the bgk come out its hiding spot much or only when fed?

I have a Bgk and clown together in a 125g. The first few days the clown nipped at the bgk but now leaves it alone. Just make sure there is enough hiding places for both of them. My bgk comes out during the day on it's own.
