i just found out that that Cks inhabit some lakes in florida and are spawning but still not sure about it. along with the silver aro.

I live in south florida and haven't seen any here. I'm not going to say it isn't happening though considering the temp and size they eventually attain. Not many fish stores, or keepers around here know much about them other than "they're cool looking". I even had one store owner tell me that they only grow to 12 inches and that my ck wasn't a ck because he was 20" and they don't get that big. I'm sure a lot of people have let them go. It would be cool to catch one though. :)

Florida seems to have the best geography location for tropical fish.

yes it would be awesome to catch one. i was looking at a FL fish list and there was alot of none native fish like Oscars, Silver aros, and like i said Cks

I can't seem to open the link to check, can't remember if it said that CK's had been collected in Florida or if they were established. Wouldn't surprise me though.

Nope, wouldn't surprise me at all. We have A LOT of non natives, jags, pacu, o's, a lot of non native tropicals that have been released and are breeding now. Plecos too. I'm going out netting soon, maybe I'll have to start netting in some deeper areas....lol

it wouldnt surprise me either. cuz theres probably fish in places all over the world thats not native.

There's a lake here in Orlando that I heard has them, but I've never fished it and it does get fairly cold here.
