clams breeding?

i have no clue on it but it kinda looks like they are

I'm not positive but I believe that the reproductive cycle of a clam involves the young babies becoming a fish parasite of some sort. They have a complicated lifecycle and their reproductive efforts might have deleterious effects to any fish in the tank.

Correct, and they are not assexual, they are broadcast spawners.
