Hey guys my male flower clappers is beginning to show more. He's disk size is 9 1/2 " how long will it take for his clappers to fully develop, Or does it depend on the feeding amount I'm giving him? What is a mature male flower ray size?

I have seen mature males at 35 cm.

So females prob need to be 40+ cm.

i agree with anders... but ive also seen other rays mature at much smaller size than normal. no real way to put a size on when he will mature other than when he is you will know

I guess I should start giving him more food
I feed my girl more than the male but ever since I notice his
Clappers he bein get a lot more food. Dame he such a pig. But he grow so slow.

ITs more of a ray matures with age theory..
Lets quote an example with WC rays..
Most of them have well developed claspers despite thier size..

I would gauge them by the number of years u have kept them..
Average growth rate can help u calculate the age too.. (note it wont be 100% accurate)
Just my 2 cents of opinion.. Good luck breeding them bro!!
