i love fish that breaths air
i've read that clarias catfish can breath air. i've seen some at my local pet shop and i'm tempted to buy it.
can i put clarias catfish with my bichirs? what is the average max size for clarias catfish?
residents currently in my tank:
-teugelsi
-ornate
-endlicheri

note: if clarias catfish isn't suitable for my bichirs then what other fish that can breath air are suitable tankmates for my bichirs? thanks.

I’ve never seen those cats before but it looks cool

I was trying to think why this couldn't work, but I think Fishman Dave Fishman Dave hit it. They are eating machines. Large bichirs might adapt and start feeding aggressively. I new a guy who saw that when he added halibut to his zebra sharks. However, I think you are going to watch the bichirs waste away. I have never seen people keep them, but maybe the Malapterus cats could work I think they gulp air. Gar should work like tlindsey tlindsey said. I would think Ctenopomids would work as long as they are big enough not to get eaten. It seems like a weird choice (though not different than gar) but hoplo cats should work. Maybe large goruamis like the snakeskins. I don't see that combination a lot though.
