Hey guys, i recently got me a lil albino walking cat :D. Im ubber excited for this thing ive been waiting for 5 months for them to show up! So my problem is i have a 100g ready for it but its only 5" and i have a 13" oscar that bugs it when i tried to put it. How long can i raise it in a 10g before it gets stunted? I just wana get it thicker and maybe 2" longer. It loves massivore and the water parameters in the 10g are great along with 12 minnows being thrown in for extra food a week. Is it possible for this plan to work?

it will work but not a 2" ... i raised walking catfish alot of time and i have a great experience with it .. its get huge in short time and aggressive that oscar wont stand it in the future ... even my paroons wont stand it its just beet up any fish she found in her way so you need to be careful

now you can put it in the 10 for 2-3 weeks only and any size she will get there you need to be ok with it and put it in the 100g
i think it gonna get like 2-3cm more and it gonna be thicker and you must be acceptable with its cuz it not gonna get bigger than that in a 10g tank

now what is the clarais size ??!! it need to be atleast 8" to handle a 13" oscar ?!!

i have a 20" walking catfish and she with a 2 paroons shark ( 23" ) and she beet them all the time !!

It is not ideal but maybe doable and sounds like you have no other options anyway. So, I'd try it and let everyone else learn with you. Otherwise, 20-30 gal tanks are cheap even from an LFS, not to mention Craigslist, where you can often snag even a 55 gal for free.

Raised a lot of these cats back in the days some live worms would beef him up really quick with some small chopped fish fillets still one of my favorites cats.

ofc .. its getting huge by time really can see it getting bigger and bigger every week if you care of it right !! but he can remain it in the 10g it gonna get bigger but it gonna stop getting big in some level so he can put it in 10g but in the end its need a big tank or its gonna get Stunting

this is my fish she's a 20" !! :

great just mind the feeding !! feed it every time you see her belly is empty 2-3 times a day ... feed it Dried shrimp or frozen shrimp and fish fillet and you will see him getting huge by time and no problem of keeping him there for another time !! you can keep him there till you feel he stop getting bigger

U think massivore and minnows will also work?
