clarius tank mate

ive been thinking about getting my clarius catfish a tank mate or tank mates he`s in a 5x2x2 and hes 16 inches i dont want anything thats going to bully him as he`s quite placid the tank he came from he was in with about 10 texas cichlids about 3-4 inches and he didnt try to eat any of them
i dont want anything that will get really big as i want my cat as my show peice and i wouldnt want the attention taken from him

anyone any ideas

It all depends on the temprement of the cat itself.

If its been living with tankmates before without any problems then i would give it a try. Say a small group of silver dollars?

Or a few mellow cichlids, i.e. severums.

We had one in the shop around that size that would kill most tankmates. Just depends on the catfish in question really.

thanks m8 yeah he seemed quite docile in the shop but he`s been on his own for a bit i was thinking about silver dollers ,i think ill try something inexpensive just incase
