Umbriferum VS Dovii

Not as king of Cichlid being the baddest in fighting. Because we should already know the Dovii is the baddest and tuffest.. Umbee is is second in that.

we know they are both bad azzes. But forget that.

This is for them as a whole package. bad, cute, pretty, exotic, exciting, kool, ect. ect. in one package. Not just fighting. Who you think U like more all together?

never owned an umbee so cant comment on their personality but id go with dovii, no other fish tries to kill me through the glass and leaves scratch marks on my tank from his teeth then my male dovii

I'm a Dovii owner, he's still pretty young, and alone. Comes to the glass front to greet me each morning, hasn't started getting chaotic yet. I think it depends on the individual fish mostly. I've seen a 9" JD trounce the sh*t out of a similar sized Jag that thought it was king of the tank once. Also seen Convicts go head to head with a large Red Devil. I think it really depends on the individual fish, how it's raised and as to what it tolerates and doesn't.

I've owned both. In my experience Dovi are more of a glass banger. But the Umbee is way more attractive. And I damn sure don't concede that they come in second in tuff ness to the Dovi. They also have teeth which it's not all about teeth anyway. Mine is a smashing machine!

Haven't experienced the smashing yet with my Dovii. Had a Devil that did it once, mostly at night. Never owned or seen an Umbee before though.

Sometimes it takes them to they get about a foot to start showing aggression to people. My guy started around 6" and just got worse. It's kind of a pain knocking lids off, smashing heaters, and soaking the floor all the time.

I agree. Mine chewed up a thermometer and I'm still getting little glass shards out of the gravel. Iv also never seen an umbee in person but it definantly is top of my list fish to own
