so I removed my 2' lung fish from his home of 180gal and was in the process of getting him into the new 210gal and I had him placed into an ice chest. I went to the pet store for supplies and when I came home the ice chest was empty! I called my friend to see if he had stopped by and played a joke on me.......he didn't, so I was perplexed I guess he got out? but a lungfish? this was the first time I had come across this, so I started looking around my room...under my bed...no...humm I then walked over about 7' to my living room and looked around until I found him underneath my couch! haha I moved the couch, poked him with my net and he gasped/hissed at me. I then got him in the net dumped him in the new 210 and he has been fine ever since. I estimated he was out of water for about 4 hours. I have been told as long as their organs and scales stay wet they can live out of water for days! pretty cool fish I'll say

Reminds me of when my albino clawed frog got out of his tank and hopped across my apartment and down the stairs through out the night.
