Clay Caves vs "real" caves

Just curious...

For the african substrate spawners out there. Do you prefer the pre-made clay or ceramic caves, or stacking rocks into a "real" cave?

depends on the look you're going for. clay caves are excellent and the fish love them. be sure to put a hole in the bottom for them to get out. just stacking rocks can cause fish to knock them over and possibly land on other fish. play with clay

i use slate caves which i stick together with silicone best by far imo

Broken clay pot pieces...

Super cheap, fish love them, once the grow a little algae, they blend right in w/the other rocks in the tank.
