Clay pots ok for aquarium?

i just bought a clay pot for my aquarium to make a hiding spot for my jag and was wondering if it was safe to put in?

Give them time. They will eventually adjust.

They will learn to like it. My bichirs were pissed when I replaced their lava rock with pots (As was I but they started getting scratched up from the lava rock.)

If you decide to modify the pots (add holes, knock out the bottom etc). I have found soaking them for 3 days makes the process much easier.

yeah now it seems hes pretty attached to the clay pot since all he does is chill in it all day.
