Clean glass before painting

So I was painting the back of a tank for the cool blacked out look and I got to around the 20th coat and realized I forgot to clean the glass that I was painting over! Luckily its barely noticeable but if you look at the aquarium at a angle at the side you can see water marks and finger prints.

Not to bad but still lesson learned.

Eeeewwww, so are you scraping it off and doing it right?
