Clean up crew native to New York?

Brown Bullheads (10-16") and Stonecats (6-12") should both be in your area and make excellent cleanup catfish. Stonecats probably a little bit less messy I'd say.
 
Try some crayfish or snails. The might get eaten depending on size but it's worth a try.
 
37 tall as in 30"x12"x24" ? If so I wouldn't have either a perch or pumpkinseed in there long term. It'll work for when they're small but start looking in to 75 gallons which would work well for adults of both species. Maybe a Tadpole Madtom for this tank...
 
Yeah it's a 30x12x24, I'm looking for a good deal on a 75+gallon tank for them, I'll just wait till I get their new tank and grab a bullhead from the lake
