Cleaning a filter sock

Just curious to see how everyone cleans their filter socks. I usually just turn mine inside out and rinse the best i can. What do other do?

Same. If they seem like they're getting clogged, I throw them in the washing machine with a little bleach.

I bleach them, then soak them in prime then let them dry

just plain bleach. I only have to do it about once a year.

In summer I use a hose outside and rinse/blast onto the lawn.
And like wheat, sometimes soak them in bleach, it only takes a short time and the CL2 oxidizes everything organic.

I work for an aquarium installation and maintenance company. We have many tanks with filter socks. We soak them in bleach water for a couple days then run them all through the washer. good as new.
