Hey guys.
I recently bought a 120g locally off ebay, and it has all the equipment and stuff.
The problem is, it was being used a sw tank, so it's pretty dirty.
What's the best way to clean it?

If any algae or salt deposits come off easily with a sponge or rag, use that and water. If not, you could run it with water and vinegar for a week. That should loosen up anything stuck on the sides of the tank and equipment and it will easily wipe off.

you can get those scratchless scouring pads and some water, i dont like usuing dodgey things that if not rinsed properly might cos my wee guys to pop their fins lol

i used neat vinegar to get the deposits off a filter i bought off ebay. worked a charm. let it sit on the deposits for a short time and the deposits should fall right off.

Thanks guys!
I thought vinegar/water would work well, and you guys confirmed my thoughts.

If it's glass and there are any particularly difficult deposits, a razor blade works fairly well. Don't do this with an acrylic tank though- it'd scratch up pretty badly.

I use vinegar and water to clean all my tanks whether or not they have been used for fresh or salt water. Just make sure you rinse well with hot water til the smell goes away.

It's glass.
I was planning on using a razor blade on some parts, but just the ones that aren't affected by the water/vinegar.
