cleaning a used tank

Hi, i just scored a 70g off of craigslist.

i think it was used for salt at one time.

going to use it for freshwater.

what might be the best way to get this tank clean?

ok, that is what i was thinking.

my only worry is that a trace amount might be left behind.

will a trace amount of vinegar harm the fish?

Nope...multiple rinses will go a long way
 
I agree, white vinegar/water solution (50/50) and some paper towels or a scrub pad. Use a razor blade for stubborn areas. And do a good rinse, you'll be good to go!
