My tank will soon be empty. But will that kill the bacteria? I do not plan to refill it any time soon but should I clean it with bleach or something before I store it just to make sure that if I ever get fish again they will be OK?

Gravel....toss or keep?

Media is all going to be tossed.

Damn and I just bought a bunch of sponges too, maybe I can take them back....

No ammonia source means no bacteria. Cleaning it up before storing it wouldn't hurt save ya from having to do it if you come back. As far as the gravel id clean it up and keep it no sense in throwing it away and end up having to buy more if you come back. Good luck to ya and sorry to cya go.

I think I may lurk sometimes, look at other peoples stuff. See if there are any new bullhead pics. I feel bad that I have none of mine as an adult but I can look at pics of others to remind me of how beautiful she was.

I would run the whole system with some bleach with no additives for a while. Then rinse a few times and treat with a dechlorinator like Prime.
