Hey all,
The air pump itself is working fine; I double checked by hooking it up on another system. I used another pump on the tank and had the same poor results. Any ideas on safely cleaning these tubes?
The tubing is cheap enough, I can just go buy some more if need be, but I thought that I'd try and save myself a trip.
Thanks

I use a paper clip to clean out the end of the tubing that attaches at the sponge filter. If you are using air stones, they may need to be replaced.

A pipe cleaning brush should work and they are pretty inexpensive. A set is like under $10 and should last years and years. (Well for tubes. Not sure how long they last for actual pipes!)

Thanks. I'm not using airstones, just the sponge filter. I'll make sure that the ends are cleaned.

The tubing is pretty thin and roughly 5' long. I'm not sure what sizes they make the brushes, but I'll look into it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Tubing is dirt cheap - at least in the US - When the ends get discolored, or hard, I just cut off a few inches and it's like new.

Ya, it'll cost about $2 for new tubing. I was just hoping to save myself the drive. Thanks.

Get it shipped then. It is SO cheap that all you do, is buy a few hundred feet, and you will NEVER need to buy it EVER AGAIN.
