I just took down a 29g to clean and prep it so I can make it look presentable again. I got the aquarium used with a big oscar from some folks that were moving and couldn't take the fish. The previous owners didn't take care of the aquarium as well as they should have and now that the oscar is in my 120 I can work on the 29. There was a lot of crap that had built up around the top of it. Most of it came off with a steel wool pad but there is still a brown layer that won't come off with any of the cleaning products around my house. Has anyone else had to clean the same stuff?

hot water, vinegar, and a razor blade. It will all scrape off with the razor, vinegar will help soften it. rinse the tank good after vinegar use and let air dry.
