and ill tell you its a butthole trying to get the top open without the water comming out.... anyway out of that? any trick i can do?

If you have quick releases,open them up to drain it. I put mine on the counter,then let the intake hose drain into the sink.
If you don't have valves,you can take your python(if you have one) take the vacum off it,and put it on the backwash valve on the bottom. Make sure the return,and intake are out of the water,and drain it that way.

First, close the intake and output valves after unplugging the power cord.
Then attach a piece of tubing to the drain valve and hold it in a bucket to drain the water. Open the drain valve.
Then open the output hose valve to allow the canister to drain.
I looked at both of your videos. What type of media do you have in the media bag?
