last night i was in my kitchen frying some chicken and knocked over the jug of cornola oil on the floor. the hose i use for my water changes was on the floor and got wet with the oil. i was gunna throw it away and buy a new one but i dont feel like spending another $60 when i just bought that one like a week ago.i thought of boiling it but it will melt the hose. how can i clean off the oil and make it aquarium safe?

Not at all. Fill your sink like you're doing dishes with Dawn and water. Put the clothes in the sink and wash it. Rinse extremely well after though.

Sent from my phone because I'm just that cool...

Hose - not clothes.

Does it have to be dawn soap?
