So I put an old 30 back into service and did not notice until I had fish in it (I know) it seems to have some type of maybe calcium or mineral deposit that makes it look foggy. I tried my magnet but no Luck. Any suggestions? Razor or any other options?

Thanks.

Lol, np just saying what worked for me. I tried to wet the trim even using vinegar, lets just say that worked great right until it dried back out. Then oddly enuff white scale was still there

Also if using sand paper use fine grit and apply very little pressure, came off easy enuff

If a razor blade doesn't remove it, it is more likely permanently etched if the appearance is cloudy.

Some people have good results using Bar Keepers Friend Cleanser which contains 'Glass Oxide Abrasive, Oxalic Acid, Surfactant' according to their website. However the tank must be empty to use that product, follow the directions and thoroughly rinse out any residue remaining afterwards. Even then it may not eliminate the cloudy appearance.

Thanks I did a small test with a razor and fortunately it removed the deposits.

Thanks all.
