this probably sounds stupid, but what is the best way to clean out the gravel on a 10gal

that is what i use with my other tanks, i thought that it would empty the tank too fast.

You can buy one with a smaller diameter hose for around 7 to $10 and it will do it a lot slower. This is what I use on my baby tanks.

It will if you use the same water pressure as on the bigger tanks. I just turn the faucet on half way for the 10 gal. and all the way for my bigger tanks. Has worked for me for 10 plus years now.

time to give it a try. my first tank that i took care of was the 2 big ones. not the typical way to start out fishkeeping, but my wifes uncle gave them to us. i guess you could say that i went a little of the deep end. thanks for the info..

i dont even use the faucet to siphon anyway, just the gravel vac into a rubbermaid tub. trying not to waste anymore water than i have to. there is a major shortage out here.
