cleaning items from ick infected tank??

i need a heater and pump from my tank were my clown loaches have ick(well iam down to one now)is there anything special i need to do to them to make sure they are ick parasite free?

The Ich Parasite needs a living host to stay alive..

If a tank is left dormant for a few weeks, all of the Ich parasites will die.. If the heater and pump have been left out of water long enough to dry, the Ich parasite should die as well..

Rinse it under scolding hot water, as the Ich parasite, even in cyst form, usually can't tolerate temperatures above 90 degrees.. or you could just let it dry out for a day..

nuke the tank with salt then keep it running for 2-3 wks, miles is right ick need a host to live..
