My Lifter pump on my CPR overflow is pumping very slowly and I was wondering how to clean it? I clean my overflow so I know it is not debris in it that is slowing it and I have clear air tubing so it is not clogged me just think it has gunk in the pump from time?

I was thinking of taking it off and let it pump a bottle of vinegar through itself a few times?

Do you have any other ideas?

This is like this pump if you need to know:

the diaphragms in these pumps can get clogged easily. best bet is to replace the diaphragms, they cost about $2-3 and are easy to change. if you cant find them locally, sometimes its just easier to buy a new pump for about $12

thanks i did not even think about taking it apart. this is just 1 more reason why i hate my HOB overflow and another reason why i may have the tank drilled.
