cleaning mold in 1 of fish rooms.....yay!

ok ......well im new to this one lol, i messed up during the start of winter by not running the damn damn thinking it was ok....humidity built up etc long story short is i have black mold growing on the rafters and some of the particle board roofing peice in the garage.

soooo im making my bleach/water mix and covering all tanks with plastic painters covering and gonna start rubbing it on leaving the doors/windows open and fan on......wearing a mask....do i need anything else?
was hoping somes doen this before lol.

also can i use like a thomsons water seal after to protect it from happening in the future?

If you haven't already started, the easy way is to get a pump sprayer from HD or Lowes. Don't get the big one, get the small one for about $10 (you won't want to lug the bigger one around for very long). Put the bleach water mix in there and spray it where you need to. Thompsons is good stuff. I don't recall if it can be sprayed on with the pump sprayer. If it ruins the sprayer, you are only out ten bucks so it wouldn't hurt to find out.

you could use thompsons....

or you could use Cabot which is far superior to thompsons and would give you better protection and a better look, look into them! the stuff is absolutely fabulous!

water based shouldn't ruin the sprayer, but you never know, but the water based will still give the protection you need.

maybe run a dehumidifier with a hose off it(got a drain?) to help keep humidity down?.
