Hey so i just got my first aquarium its a 40 gallon tank that i got mainly for my two baby turtles, im planning on adding lots of stuff to it though.

currently i have very few rocks in it a plant and a giant filter to keep it as clean as possible

when the time comes idk how the best way to clean the tank is...

wats the best method to go at this?

how do i replace 40 gallons of water with a new 40 gallons of clean water?

Python is the best out there, sure beats buckets. I don't know about turtles but with fish you don't change 100% of the water. Normally it's 20 -50 %, depending what you have in there.

no need to change all the water. Get a hose, and buy an adapter so it can attach to your sink. Use the hose to siphon water into your tub/sink/outside and then attach it to the sink to refill.

I've never used a python, they seem like a massive waste of water to me.

Huh? What is your tank size? 40 or 50? Your first post said it was 50.

i just get a regular gravel vac and two-three 5 gallon buckets if you dont go with the python. its only 40 gallons so water changes with buckets really isnt bad imo.
