I know you can buy wipes to clean the outside glass on your tank but they are so expensive. I was wondering if anyone had and ideas of how to clean the outside without buying those expensive things. Does anyone have a different method??

i asked the same question, warm water and a clean rag works great. i guess 1/2 vinegar and 1/2 water works well also, i havent tried that yet

i buy glass cleaner with vinegar and use regular paper towels. Works great no streaks. The fish think they can swim into the living room:ROFL:

they make blue hand towels at home depot, lowes, etc... They are very soft. Just spray some windex on them or water, and wipe away :).

I'm afraid to use windex because i've always heard its not good. I mean, I'm very careful about washing my hands and stuff before handling anything in my tank sooo.... Maybe I'll try the vinegar thingy and if it works well i'll prolly stick to that. Thanks everyone for the info :)

i use windex. if you spray it on the rag, its safe. unless you dip the rag in the tank.

if you use chemicals put them on the rag first. i used to just use warm water but i have hard water and it built up some nasty deposits.
