for the gravel i would suggest putting it in a bucket and leaving it out in the sun. if its colored though it might bleach. idk if it would help with parasites and stuff but it would look cleaner IMO. after letting it sit for a while i would rinse it with some aquarium water. idk if tap water would work but thats what i would use. i think I've also heard taking some vinegar and water (don't remember what kind of vinegar) and rubbing it on the glass helps with scratches and such. i would do that too if you have a cover. for the driftwood it depends if its old or new and what kind of driftwood it is. if its fairly new (like 6 months or never used) then I'm sure it would be fine as it is. i would still rinse it just to be sure though. if its old (like 2 years) it might be a throw away. my driftwood was starting to decay around the 2 year mark. it made my water really brown so i threw it away.
