What is your cleaning routine? I clean my tank once a week (Sundays). First I siphon the gravel until the tank is about a quarter of the way drained. I then scrub the algae off the glass and rearrange rocks. I then use the garden hose to fill the tank. The end :)

About twice a week I hook up my DIY siphon to my sink and drain 50%. While it drains I clean the glass and replace my filter sock with a clean one. Then I fill back up. Takes about 18 minutes.

Once a month I will use a gravel vac and clean the substrate as well.

WC twice weekly. A day or two after the massive feeding. Vacuum the sand, continue until 25-30% water is gone. Return water by disturbing the substrate, may or may not run the wave makers after. A few minutes before completion, the giant gourami will evacuate his gut, so do a minor vac again and then finish the water change. Trickle filter floss is cleaned every 2 weeks. The 2 canister filters are cleaned of gunk every month.
 
I have 3 aquariums with sand substrate, what would be the easiest way to clean my sand? Takes me awhile as of right now to clean all three, pain in the ass.
 
Easiest way is to have a water jet blow across the sand and have a high flow filter suck crap up.

I have my 300 tall for a year now with sand and I have yet to vacuum the substrate.

My cleaning routine:

30-40% WC twice a week. Back Flush my main filter while I'm at it. I also clean my tank panels but usually once every few month as my fish cleans my acrylic pretty well.
