Alright i have a bucket halfway filled with sand and i put my hose under the sand and turned it on. I was waiting for the water to turn clear like someone said days earlier on another post. The water at the top of the bucket is still muddy looking, but the stuff overflowing looks pretty clear. Is it clean now? and when i put it in my 55gal and fill the tank it won't be muddy looking will it?

Keep rinsing it again and again until you are positive it is clean. I usually do half a bucket at a time. Fill it up to the top and stir all the sand up. Let it settle a bit and pour out the excess water. Repeat process several times. The cleaner you get it in the bucket, the less cloudy it will make your tank. If you clean it right, it shouldn't cloud your tank at all.

:iagree:

it seems you're just leaving the hose in the bucket. Stick your hand in and mix it up!
